Maruti Suzuki has declared that the best spec Ignis hatchback will get the maker’s robotized manual transmission, named Auto Gear Shift (AGS). Accessible now with the highest point of-the-line Alpha variation too, the Ignis Alpha (AGS) oil is estimated at Rs 7.01 Lakh*, while the Alpha (AGS) diesel conveys a sticker price of Rs 8.08 Lakh* (Ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The new five-speed AMT is mated to the same 1.2-liter petroleum motor that makes 83hp and 113Nm of pinnacle torque, and the 1.3-liter Fiat-sourced diesel creating 75hp and 190Nm of torque. Other than the presentation of the new transmission, the hatchback is unaltered all around.
Gone for millennials, the Ignis Alpha gets a pile of wellbeing gear including double airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX kid seats fitments. The hatchback matches any semblance of the Hyundai Grand i10, Tata Bolt and the Honda Brio.
Presenting the AMT on the Ignis Alpha variation, R S Kalsi, senior official executive (showcasing and deals), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, stated, “Our premium urban smaller vehicle, the Ignis, has been made for millennials, an exceptional brand in the Indian market. Programmed Gear Shift (AGS) on the Ignis, so far offered in the Delta and Zeta trims, has been broadly valued by clients and records for 27 percent of Ignis deals. We are currently offering AGS in the best Alpha trim too. We anticipate that this will fortify brand Ignis and upgrade the ubiquity of AGS among millennials.
